The Arduino Ethernet Shield 2 allows an Arduino Board to connect to the internet using the Wiznet W5500 Ethernet chip. It provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP, supporting up to eight simultaneous socket connections. The Shield connects to an Arduino Board using long wire-wrap headers, maintaining pin layout for stacking additional Shields. It features an onboard micro-SD card slot for file storage and Power over Ethernet support.
