Working Principle

Description

The Grove – HCHO Sensor operates based on the WSP2110 semiconductor VOC gas sensor. The sensor's conductivity changes with the concentration of VOC gas in the air. This change in conductivity is converted through a circuit into an output signal that directly correlates to the gas concentration.

Sensor Types

Semiconductor VOC gas sensor

Dos And Donts

Donts

  • Avoid Water Exposure: Do not expose the sensor to water or high humidity, as it may damage the sensor.,
  • Prevent Physical Damage: Handle the sensor with care to avoid any physical damage which might affect its functionality.

Dos

  • Ensure Stable Power Supply: Provide a steady 5V power supply to ensure accurate sensor operation.,
  • Regular Calibration: Calibrate the sensor regularly to maintain accuracy of the gas concentration readings.
Limits

Detecting Range

  • Description: The sensor can detect gas concentrations from 1 to 50 ppm.

Operating Voltage

  • Description: The sensor requires a 5V power supply for optimal operation.
How To Connect

Pin Connections

  • Gnd: Connect to the ground of the power supply.,
  • Vcc: Connect to a 5V power supply.,
  • Sig: Connect to the input pin on the microcontroller to read the sensor output signal.,
  • Nc: No connection required for this pin.
Dimensions

Description
